Virtual State Fair

There has never been a better time to check out what eXtension is doing in the Second Life virtual 3D world. eXtension’s Virtual State Fair kicks off Wednesday, October 6 through Sunday, October 10 with five days of exhibits, educator presentations, a photo contest, live music, midway rides, cake decorating, and geocaching, capped off by a talent search and gala parade on Sunday. Several events will also be available streamed live in Adobe Connect [http://connect.ksre.ksu.edu/extension3d]. The fair is a unique opportunity to explore the potential for networking, collaboration, and community-based education in an immersive social virtual world.

Virtual State Fair Schedule– 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) daily

DAILY EVENTS
11 a.m.—Noon–Ice Cream Social mixer
Noon to 2 p.m. (W-F) Cooperative Extension Sampler (also in Adobe Connect)
2 – 4 p.m.–Community of Practice Expo Exhibits (also in Adobe Connect 3-4 p.m.)
4 – 6 p.m.–Midway, line dancing at Gertrude’s barn, Special Events
6 – 8 p.m.–Live musicians – folk, blues, pop and country
8 p.m.–Fireworks after music shows
