Happy New Year to one and all! Hopefully, 2011 will be a great year for you, as well as for eXtension. We are aiming for another great year as we work to engage both new and traditional audiences using the best technologies and strategies available. We are starting the year with the preparation of a new Strategic Roadmap to guide our work from 2011 – 2013. We expect to see a number of new Communities of Practice established, as well as an expansion of the content and programs offered by the more than 60 Communities of Practice already at work. The Military Families Partnership supported by the Department of Defense and USDA–NIFA remains a priority as we work to develop and support the new Military Families CoP.
With last year being a banner year with regard to teams integrating eXtension into NIFA supported competitive grant applications, we anticipate even more teams including eXtension in grant applications in 2011. In addition, we will be working to increase the number of private and public partnerships that will further expand the work of eXtension. As we move throughout the year we will look forward to both another National Community of Practice Workshop and a National Virtual eXtension Conference. Outcomes, impacts and transformation will abound, so stay tuned for what promises to be another great year!
