Many in Extension wonder if we would be more “leading edge” by having a mobile app for “something” that Cooperative Extension has to offer.
Creating a compelling mobile experience is now a necessity for anyone offering content on the web. But how is that mobile experience delivered in 2012? As a web application optimized for small screens? As a native app developed for the various mobile platforms? What does the audience want and need when going mobile?
eXtension is happy to welcome back Luke Wroblewski for two Learn sessions to share his insight on the current state and future of the mobile web and mobile apps. On Monday, June 25, his session Mobile First will give many examples of good and not so good mobile experiences, as well as when it makes sense to have a native app! Then on Thursday, July 12, the follow-up presentation will be on Organizing Mobile Web Experiences, a more technical talk.
Find more information on each at Learn.extension.org, sign in, and check the box to “Follow” the events.
Please invite anyone who has an interest or questions about the best way to start thinking about Extension’s use of applications for mobile devices.
