Recently, the eXtension Foundation Board of Directors released an RFA seeking applications from interested companies to conduct an external review of eXtension. The review is to address:
1) whether eXtension has been developed in accordance with strategic plans;
2) whether the current 2011-2014 eXtension Strategic Roadmap addresses the right strategies and activities moving forward; and
3) if not, why and what needs to be different.
Key areas of interest include technology use and implementation, Community of Practice impacts and outcomes, addressing Cooperative Extension expectations, and the level at which states are integrating and using eXtension.
Proposals are due December 5, 2012 at which time negotiations are expected to result in the selection of a vendor. It’s anticipated the review will be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2013 and presented to the eXtension Foundation Board and the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP).
