eXtension 3D works with Hurricane Disaster Response

The eXtension Virtual 3D staff recently was invited to record sessions of a Texas A&M Veterinary Medicine class held in Second Life, and produced this 10-minute machinima to document the activities. The role play simulation involves a Veterinary Emergency Team’s hurricane disaster response. Using avatars, professors guide students through an authentic learning experience in a virtual environment. This is a good example of how virtual worlds might be used by Extension educators as a teaching tool.
