John was the co¬-chair for the Network Literacy Community of Practice since its beginning. He has greatly influenced establishing Network Literacy’s structure, processes, and direction. He developed processes for welcoming new Network Literacy members and finding ways to involve others. He developed a quick online survey for newcomers for them to indicate their interests in participation ¬¬would they be interested in conducting webinars, write or edit blog posts, update Twitter statuses, and posting on Facebook or Google Plus pages.
“John, working with other Network Literacy members, found ways to broaden Network Literacy efforts. He encouraged Cooperative Extension IT staff in various institutions to share their work so Cooperative Extension professionals could benefit from training and the discovery of new tools,” said Anne Adrian, eXtension Associate Director and Network Literacy Community of Practice leader.
