Augmented reality (AR) is an immersive technology that allows users to interact with the digital and physical world. Whereas virtual reality (VR) is a computer simulated environment that replicates the physical world, augmented reality involves creating layers of digital information on top of the physical world that is viewed through an Android or iOS device, making that world alive and interactive for the viewer.
Please join Michele Kroll, M.S. EdS from University of Missouri Extension, on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., ET, for a new webinar, “Augmented Reality: A New Tool for Extension.” Michele will jump right into introducing some of the tools and ways she has used AR in her Extension work.
To gain the best experience from this webinar, we recommend that you read the series of four blog posts on AR that Michele recently published on eXtension.org. This series of short posts presents an excellent introduction to AR technology and examples of its uses. In the Webinar, Michele will build on this background to focus on AR’s potential for Extension.
