What’s the best way to thaw my turkey? Can I eat cheese that’s moldy? Should I wash pre-washed bagged salad? Food safety questions such as these are asked in the kitchens of Americans daily and while static websites exist it’s sometimes difficult for meal preparers to find evidence-based answers supported by references as to why. While some services exist, they fall short on details fail when individuals need this information – at meal time. The idea is to implement a 24/7 social media and text message-based service to proactively and reactively engage with consumers and answer food safety questions.
