i-Three Issue Corps 2016 – Local Food Program Team Evaluation and Impact Measurement

What is the change you are designing to achieve?

Specialists and agents will be more involved in prioritizing issues and mobilizing resources to enhance local food systems in NC by participating in the statewide Local Food Program Team.

How will you measure that change?

I will survey administration, the Local Food Program Team members, and Extension specialist and agents receiving program funding, and selected stakeholders to gauge level of engagement, satisfaction, the degree to which the team’s mission has been accomplished.

What is the innovative component or strategy you will implement as a result of the design-a-thon?

I will use Qualtrics to collect evaluation information. In addition, I will use zoom webinar to communicate with team members across the state.

How did the design-a-thon help you?

I got direct help from tech experts that showed me how Twitter, Qualtrics , Zoom Webinar and Basecamp could be effective in my Extension work.

NC Cooperative Extension is developing a statewide local food program team to build the capacity of agents, identify resources for stakeholders, and share successful programming that will benefit food systems across the state. How do we evaluate the effectiveness of the team’s workings and the impact on local food systems across the state?
